In 2019 I was brought on The Dissident as a Camera Operator by my longtime friend and DP, Jake Swantko, to work on this project with Academy Award-Winning Director, Bryan Fogel, at the helm.

The global implications of this story required the team to travel to 5 countries, in under 2 months, which was quite an intense pace for a Documentary. For my part I joined the team in Canada, Norway, England, the United States, and most noteably the United Nations in Switzerland. This would be my first time being a part of such a story of this magnitude.

The Dissident went on the premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, was nominated for Best Documentary at the 2021 BAFTA Awards and the 2021 ACE Eddie Awards, and won Best Documentary at the 2021 Writers Guild Awards.
